As we say goodbye to an eventful 2017, the MTFA would also like to offer a fond farewell to the Royal Thai Ambassador to Malaysia, H.E. Damrong Kraikruan, who is completing his three year post to Malaysia as Head of Mission.
Throughout his three year posting here, H.E. Damrong has been instrumental in further bridging the already close ties between our two nations; contributing on multiple fronts within the realms of diplomacy, culture, history, arts, sports and education. Alongside initiating the Friends of Thailand group here, H.E. Damrong has also been a key supporter of the MTFA in our efforts to forge closer socio-cultural ties between the peoples of Malaysia and Thailand.
We at the MTFA would like to share some images from a dinner which H.E. Damrong and his team from the Royal Thai Embassy cordially invited the MTFA committee – led by Dato’ Latt Shariman Abdullah – and several special guests to his residence earlier this month; where he was also honoured with an ancient keris of Bugis ancestry by Dato’ Sri Johari Jamaluddin as a token of appreciation for his support of highlighting the historical ties between our two countries.
The MTFA would like to offer our sincerest gratitude to H.E. Damrong for all his contributions and his support of our ambitions, and wish him the best of luck on his return to Thailand to pursue his future endeavours.
